Last month, John Deere announced that it would be hosting “The Farm Must Go On,” a virtual benefit concert to support farmers in need. Now, the company has confirmed that it will host a contest in support of Farm Rescue, giving fans of the performing artists the opportunity to win a virtual meet and greet.
To enter the contest, fans can make a small donation on the Farm Rescue website. They are then asked which artist they would like to meet. All of the donations raised through the contest will support the nonprofit, which helps farmer families suffering from illness, injury, or natural disaster to plant, hay, or harvest their crops. John Deere remains committed to helping farmers access the resources they need to sustain their farms.
“The Farm Must Go On” will live stream, free of charge to virtual viewers, on YouTube on Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET. The performers include Dustin Lynch, Maddie and Tae, Mickey Guyton, Travis Denning, and Tyler Farr. All of the proceeds from the contest will go directly to Farm Rescue to help its volunteer workforce with meals and lodging. The funds will also help fuel vehicles and machinery so producers can continue working to maintain their bottom line.
